The New Mexico Proposed Amendment, Permitting Tax Legislation by Reference, also known as Constitutional Amendment No. 8, was on the 1964 ballot in New Mexico as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The proposed measure allowed for a constitutional amendment that addressed the permitting of tax legislation by reference.[1]
