The New Mexico Referendum: Amendment of Article 19, also known as Constitutional Amendment No. 5, was on the ballot in New Mexico on November 3, 1970, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. The referendum would have amended Article 19 of the New Mexico Constitution.[1]
