The New Mexico Referendum: Executive Officer Terms, also known as Constitutional Amendment No. 3, was on the ballot in New Mexico on November 3, 1970, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The referendum amended Article 5, Section 1 of the Constitution of New Mexico. The section dealt with the terms of state executive officers.[1]
