The New Mexico Referendum: Legislative Appropriation of Funds, also known as Constitutional Amendment No. 2, was on the ballot in New Mexico on November 2, 1982, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The referendum removed the ability of the New Mexico Legislature to appropriate funds from the severance tax permanent fund.[1]

Proposing an amendment to Article 8, Section 10 of the Constitution of New Mexico to remove the power of the legislature to appropriate funds from the principal amount of the severance tax permanent fund.[2] |
