The New Mexico Referendum: Legislative Reimbursement for Expenses, also known as Constitutional Amendment No. 4, was on the ballot in New Mexico on November 7, 1978, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. The referendum would have provided limitations of reimbursements for expenses of state legislators.[1]

CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT No. 4: Proposing an amendment to Article 4, Section 10 of the Constitution of New Mexico to provide limitations on the reimbursement of legislators for expenses incurred in their duties.[2]
