The New Mexico Referendum: Legislative Reimbursement for Expenses, also known as Constitutional Amendment No. 6, was on the ballot in New Mexico on November 4, 1980, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. The referendum would have increased the amount legislators were reimbursed for expenses incurred as part of their duties.[1]
