The New Mexico Referendum: Municipal Home Rule, also known as Constitutional Amendment No. 1, was on the ballot in New Mexico on November 3, 1970, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The referendum proposed amending the constitution to provide for the Municipal Home Rule.[1]
