The New Mexico Referendum: New County Commissioners, also known as Constitution Amendment No. 1, was on the ballot in New Mexico on November 4, 1980, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The referendum allowed for five county commissioners in class B counties.[1]
