The New Mexico Referendum: Taxation and Revenue, also known as Constitutional Amendment No. 8, was on the ballot in New Mexico on November 3, 1970, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. The referendum would have allowed for the adoption of a new Article 8, which related to taxation and revenue.[1]
