As a socialist, Joshua will put workers and tenants first. His campaign is centered around unionization and tenants rights. This will address work place inequities and the housing crisis at the same time.

Joshua is also trying to push the boundaries of work life by advocating for a four day work week and medicare for all. He is deeply aware of the plight of immigrants throughout New York and the US, he champions abolish ice.

Joshua is also an anti zionist and an advocate for the Palestinian people's cause, is pro Ukraine, and supports indigenous peoples everywhere, including in the US.

Like all small business owners, I learned how to fight for our customers each and every day; if we failed to meet their expectations, they'd shop elsewhere. That's the standard we should hold our politicians to. After graduating from Harvard I would go on to build my own businesses, helping people and organizations send money around the world. Millions of immigrant and diaspora community members every month use our platform to send money home for free or almost free. Billions of dollars of critical aid and development flows make their way across our rails. Now I'm running for Congress to fight just as hard for the people of NY-9. Together we can give the community of NY-9 a solid floor - universal access to affordable education, housing, health care, nutrition, etc. - upon which to build our families, our businesses, and our neighborhoods. Standing firmly on that floor there is no ceiling to what we can accomplish as individuals, as a district, or as a nation. From more community schools to closer emergency medical care, safer streets to more reliable public transit, we're a long way from that goal today. We can't keep electing the same people year after year, decade after decade, and expect different results. New leadership, with a fresh perspective, and more robust representation is desperately needed.

Affordability is a key concern in our neighborhood - but the cost of the things we need is only half of the equation. We also need to be investing in the types of growth and innovation that will provide high-quality, well-paying, AI-proof employment for our community today and our children tomorrow. From free access to vocational schools - helping fill the shortage of skilled labor we need - to expanded small business financial support and constructive engagement with "next-gen" industries, we can provide a better, brighter, more rewarding future for NY-9.

NY-9 is one of the most diverse districts in the United States. We deserve a representative that understands and advocates for the needs of all of our communities - Jewish or Haitian, western part of the district or eastern, native-born or immigrant.
