The New York Extension of Civil Service Preference, Amendment 2, also known as Proposed Amendment No. 2, was on the ballot in New York on November 7, 1933, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. This amendment would have extended "civil service preference to disabled veterans who were residents but not citizens of this state at time of entrance into military or naval service."[1]
