The New York Low Rent Housing and Urban Renewal, Proposition 1, also known as Proposition 1, was on the ballot in New York on November 3, 1970, as a legislatively referred bond question. It was defeated. This measure would have "authorized an increase of $20,000,000 in the maximum aggregate amount of state periodic subsidies for the payment of which, in any one year, contracts may be outstanding for low rent housing and urban renewal purposes."[1]
