The New York Residence Requirements for Voting Purposes, Amendment 4, also known as Proposed Amendment No. 4, was on the ballot in New York on November 2, 1943, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This amendment changed the residence requirement for voting purposes. It required a four month residence for voters in counties, cities or villages.[1]
