The New York Right to Vote for Military Members, Amendment 1, also known as Proposed Amendment 1, was on the ballot in New York on March 8, 1864, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This amendment extended the "right to vote to absent electors in military service."[1]
