Having grown up in this district I understand the unique challenges facing our rural area. I know that as a democrat I will be able to work with the state legislature to help this region in a way that my conservative counterpart is unable to do.

The importance of agriculture to our area cannot be over stated. Going hand in hand with agriculture means to be good environmental stewards. I know that we need to focus on making big changes to the environment that won't drop the brunt of that burden on our farmers.

While I understand the importance of working with my democratic counterparts in Albany, I also know how to take a stand for this district on topics that would not be of benefit to constituents.
