New district judge appointed in central Nebraska

Nebraska: On October 6, 2011, the 58 year-old attorney Richard Birch from North Platte was appointed by Governor Dave Heineman to the 11th Judicial District in central Nebraska.[1]
Birch will take the seat of former Judge John P. Murphy, bringing 32 years of legal experience to the bench.[1]
The 11th Judicial District covers 17 central and western counties and is based in Lincoln County.[1]
