A Newcomerstown Village Property Tax Levy Increase question was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Tuscarawas County, which is in Ohio, where it was defeated.
If approved, this question would have authorized the Village of Newcomerstown to increase property taxes by up to 1.5 mills ($1.5 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for five years in order to fund of maintaining and operating the cemeteries of the village.[1]

Language on the ballot:
| “ | An additional tax for the benefit of the Village of Newcomerstown for the purpose of maintaining and operating village cemeteries at a rate not exceeding 1.5 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.15, for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2013, first due in calendar year 2014.
