A Newman Lake Fire District 12 Tax Levy Continuation proposition was approved on the February 12, 2013 election ballot in Spokane County, which is in Washington.
This proposition authorized the Spokane County Fire District No. 13 known as the Newman Lake Fire and Rescue District to continue a property tax levy of 0.50 mill ($0.50 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for six years in order to fund its emergency medical services.[1]

| “ | The Board of Fire Commissioners of Spokane County Fire Protection District No. 13 (Newman Lake Fire & Rescue) adopted Resolution 2012-13 concerning a proposition to continue its emergency medical services property tax levy. This proposition would authorize the District to continue to fund emergency medical services for its citizen by imposing a regular property tax levy of $.50 per $1,000.00 of assessed valuation for a period of six consecutive years to be collected beginning in 2014. | ” |
