I am a devoted husband, a father of five children, a native Idahoan and a patriot. I'm a natural leader and a defender of freedom, the constitution, and those that cannot defend themselves. I am an outdoorsman and I love extreme sports like rock climbing and snowmobiling.
  • Constitutional Government: The various constitutions of this land were written to restrict the government, not the people. Too many of our elected officials have stepped outside the bounds of their constitutional authority and they need to be held accountable for that. We need to put our government(s) back within the framework of the constitution(s) and get the power back to the people. This means limited government, reduced spending, reduced taxes, and no more tolerance for usurpation and tyranny. I will battle to ensure we restore the consitution(s) as the law of the land.
  • Parental Choice in Education: The education of our children is essential to their future success, as well as the success of Idaho and our nation. Unfortunately, Marxist ideas, Muslim ideas, profanity, vulgarity, and even pornography are being taught in place of our traditional American heritage and Judeo-Christian values upon which this country was founded. We need to get the power back into the hands of the parents whose children are attending schools. This means instituting a system where money follows the child so parents can send their children to places that better fit their values. A system like this will create competition between all the different schools, which will increase the quality of education throughout the state.
  • Fiscal Responsibility and Transparency: Ever feel like our governments are simply burning money? Print and burn, print and burn, or give it away to people that have no business receiving it. We are walking ourselves into a complete collapse of our monetary system. The debt we are accruing is unfathomable and our grandchildren will be saddled with the fiscal decisions we make now. I will work to ensure taxpayer funds are used judiciously and appropriately, and I will work to increase the transparency surrounding what happens with your money.
I am passionate about uncovering, and shedding light on, the corruption in our government. I have witnessed a small sliver of it and believe that it we need to expose the corruption and those that are participating in it. I commit to sharing what is REALLY going on in our government, openly and publicly, so the People can see what they're getting from their elected officials. I believe that if it can be destroyed by the light, it should be destroyed by the light.
George Washington. He was an incredible leader. He was fearless, he was resolute, somber, intelligent, and loved his country. I believe that we need more men like President Washington. If we had more men that were selfless and strong like President Washington, we wouldn't have many of the problems we have today. I have the painting "Prayer at Valley Forge" in my office, directly above my computer where I can be reminded that when life gets too hard to stand, kneel.
Integrity, Honesty, Courage, Morality, Intelligence, Love of state and country.
I am intelligent, quick witted, analytical, and excel at problem solving. I have a strong moral compass, am fearless and courageous. I can't be bought, can't be bullied, and can't be intimidated.
I would like to be known as a defender of the constitution, and as a citizen statesman.
The first historical event I really remember was the explosion of the shuttle Challenger. That occurred in 1986 and I was 5 years old at the time. I watched it happen on TV with the rest of my kindegarten class.
My very first job was working for my grandfather in a John Deere dealership he owned. I worked in the family business, seasonally, all through high school and even in my first year after high school.
I believe the legislative branch should be the most powerful branch of government. These are the People's voice, and they are supposed to have the greatest power. I believe the Governor should be focused outward, on dealing with other states, ensuring security for our state and securing the rights of the people. I believe that executive orders in the form of mandates to the people are usurpation and tyranny.
1. Maintaining Freedom: As we have seen in every state in our great nation, freedom is slipping away. It is no different in Idaho. We need to stand firm in defending the constitution, in maintaining and securing liberty, and in the realization that life without liberty is not worth living.

2. Maintaining Sovereignty and Solvency: Idaho receives far too much money from the federal government. Aside from the fact that it is a clear form of socialism, the amount of money we receive threatens our soveriegnty and solvency.

3. Increasing the Quality of Education in Idaho: Our public school systems need an overhaul and need competition. We pay FAR too much for administration of schools and we get FAR too little for our children from it. I have children in all 3 levels (elementary, middle, and high school) of school right now and what I hear from each is disgusting.
Benefits of a unicameral system would include a reduction in the size of government and theoretically increase the efficiency with which laws are passed. Drawbacks would include a decrease in public representation as well as a lack of diversity in the legislative body.
I believe it CAN be beneficial for people to have previous experience. I think it depends upon the experience. Some people have been raised and groomed by corrupt politicians to take the place of someone leaving office. Those types of situations are dangerous because they perpetuate the problems with tyranny and corruption. So, while experience is helpful in knowing the landscape and understanding the process, it's also hurtful if the experience is based around Cronie politics.
Of course it's beneficial to build relationships with other legislators. These are people! Hopefully they have different views that others and can express those civilly and well. Building relationships with others is critical to finding common ground, working well together, and understanding one another.
A third party committee not appointed by the legislature.
The legislature should oversee the use of emergency powers, if they are to be granted. I believe the granting of emergency powers is a dangerous precedent and has been used FAR too frequently in modern times.
I believe that some compromise is necessary and can be a good thing. However, I believe that we have compromised ourselves into a very untenable position in our state and nation. I believe that the US Constitution is "The Great Compromise". People on both sides of the aisle were involved in setting up our government. People from all walks of life and all different states had a hand in it and compromised on the powers the People would delegate to the federal government. I believe that compromise in the form, purpose, and intent of our governments ended there. I have no interest in playing softball with socialists and continuing down this pathway to destruction and slavery.
