Nicholas is an experienced appellate attorney seeking election to Justice (Pl. 8) on the Fifth District Court of Appeals of Texas. Nicholas is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in two practice areas: (1) Civil Appellate Law, and (2) Labor & Employment Law. He currently serves as the Chief of the Dallas City Attorney's Office's Appellate Section, where he oversees all appellate litigation on behalf of the ninth largest city in the U.S. Nicholas is a career public servant. After law school, he clerked for U.S. District Judge Jane J. Boyle. He then worked for Legal Aid of Northwest Texas, advising Texans who lacked the financial means to pay for legal counsel. He has worked as an assistant city attorney for the Dallas City Attorney's Office for almost fifteen years. There, he's worked as a prosecutor, a labor and employment attorney, and he now serves as Chief of the office's Appellate Section.
  • Appellate experience you can trust. Nicholas is board certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and he currently oversees all appellate litigation for the ninth largest city in the country.
  • Fairness and neutrality. Nicholas is committed to upholding the rule of law. He will do so by fairly applying the law to the unique facts of each case before him without bias or an agenda.
  • Efficiency. It's often said that justice delayed is justice denied. Nicholas has the breadth of legal knowledge and docket management experience to manage a chambers that will efficiently issue decisions.
