Ballotpedia biographical submission form

The candidate completed Ballotpedia's biographical information submission form:

What is your political philosophy?

I am a Navy veteran, Jacksonville businessman and father of 2 boys in Duval public schools. My wife and I are products of public schools ourselves and have lived in the Intracoastal West area for over 12 years. I have served on the Board of Directors of the First Coast Manufacturers Association (4 years), on the City’s Environmental Protection Board (8 years, including the last as Chairman), and on various corporate boards. I come from a family that cares deeply about K – 12 education. My father served on my local school board and my mom helped found Chicago’s Noble Street Charter School, an award-winning charter that continues to deliver excellent education to children in inner-city neighborhoods. If elected, I will focus on 3 interrelated priorities – School Safety, Educational Achievement, and Fiscal Responsibility – to transform DCPS into one of the top performing and safest large municipal school districts in the country.[2]
