Nick Marshall (Missouri)
Nick Marshall (Republican Party) was a member of the Missouri House of Representatives, representing District 13. Marshall assumed office in 2011. Marshall left office in 2019.
Marshall (Republican Party) ran for election for Platte County Prosecutor in Missouri. Marshall lost in the primary on August 7, 2018.
Marshall was unable to run for re-election in 2018 to the Missouri House of Representatives because of term limits.
Biography
Marshall earned his B.A. from Bob Jones University in 1995 and J.D. from the University of Missouri in 1999.
Issues
Articles of impeachment
In February 2014, Marshall filed two articles of impeachment against Gov. Jay Nixon (D) for issuing an executive order in November 2013, requiring the Missouri Department of Revenue to accept joint tax returns from same-sex couples who were married in other states. The Missouri Constitution was amended to ban same-sex marriage in 2004.[1] A Republican-led panel held a hearing over the impeachment resolutions but did not choose to vote on it.[2]
