I am a Community Organizer, Urban Planner, North Cobb Warrior, and Democratic Candidate running to represent District 35 in the Georgia House of Representatives. I’m running for State House because we need leadership that represents the future that we deserve. I will amplify the voices of the people of Acworth and Kennesaw and fight with integrity against the forces that stand between our vision of a more equal Georgia; with Equity, Access to Healthcare and Education, and a Livable Future.
  • We've always told voters that change begins at the polls, but Governor Brian Kemp and the Georgia Republicans are doing all they can to restrict one of our most fundamental rights: the right to vote. As your representative, I will ensure that all Georgian's have equal access to the ballot box and I will stand up against voter ID laws and policies that limit access to early and absentee voting and create long voting lines. I believe that voter registration should be easy. I will support laws that will not allow Georgia citizens to be purged from voter rolls, and I will champion making voter registration permanent for Georgia residents.
  • Though women have had the constitutional right to safe and legal abortion for nearly 50 years, women's right to choose is still under attack. It is finally time to trust a woman's right to decide what is right for them and their family. We should also guarantee women these rights through quality reproductive health services that are critical to women's health and economic security. And we must knock down the systemic barriers that have made it difficult for low-income women and women of color to get the reproductive care they need.
  • Climate change is one of the most critical issues that our generation will face. I'll support policies that protect Georgia's environment, preserve our natural resources, and reduce pollution in Kennesaw and Acworth as well as the State of Georgia. I'll work to increase accountability and leverage clean-energy jobs as an opportunity to boost our economy. We have an opportunity to become a national model for environmental policy, but we first need legislators passionate about a livable future.
