Nick Miller is a 5th generation Iowan, business owner, public servant, and young professional from the small town of Polk City, Iowa. Miller graduated from North Polk High School in 2017 and began his undergraduate degree in Strategic Political Communications at Drake University in the fall of that same year. Miller was an active member of the Key Club/Kiwanis Club, Polk City Four Seasons Festival Committee, and the Polk City Comprehensive Planning Committee.

In his first year at Drake, Miller worked as a legislative clerk for Rep. Bruce Bearinger a rural legislator in HD-64. Miller continued to work for Rep. Bearinger for the next three sessions while at Drake.

In the fall of 2018, Nick started KNM Productions, along with his brother, providing media services for weddings, businesses, and community events. Over the course of eighteen months, Miller grew his business to a six person staff, clients through 2021, and expanded services.

Currently, Miller remains an undergraduate student at Drake going into his last semester, Managing Director/Owner of KNM Productions, and a board member of the Des Moines Committee on Foreign Relations.

In May of 2019, Miller announced his candidacy for the Iowa House of Representatives for HD-19.

  • Invest - Cultivating a culture of entrepreneurship, small business innovation and seeking new opportunities for Iowa to lead the way in agriculture and industry
  • Educate - Ensuring that our public education system has access to all necessary resources to educate our future generations and provide greater opportunities for our students
  • Sustain - Creating a sustainable future through producer-led initiatives and investing in jobs, infrastructure, and renewable energy projects.
I am interested in entrepreneurship, small business/economic development, and in working with professionals in their respective fields to come to creative solutions for agriculture, business, and education policy.
