My life has been shaped by service to our community as a fourth generation Lawrence Township resident. From the small businesses my family owned in the Castleton area or watching my dad—a disabled Army veteran—work so hard to provide for our family, giving back has always been part of my core values.

This drive towards helping others was the reason I decided to pursue public service. I’m the Director of Community Relations for the Lawrence Township Trustee’s Office, an Ambassador for the Board of the Greater Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, and I operate a small data analytics business here in Indianapolis, along with many other organizations I work with.

  • Improving our Roads and Infrastructure
  • Strengthening Public Safety
  • Investing in the Mental Health of our city
Community Question Featured local question
Transparency is the key to good government. Through my experiences, I’ve learned how important it is to work hard, be accessible and listen to others. If you ever have any questions or concerns, my personal phone number is 317-476-3025 and I would be glad to discuss any issue with you.

Community Question Featured local question
Ensuring that our city is safe is the #1 way to keep our community thriving. We must work to support our public safety officers and also build trust between law enforcement and the community, and those are both things I do in my day job with the Lawrence Township government.

It is extremely important to diligently work with neighborhoods, IMPD and Lawrence Police to keep our area safe. One particular focus of mine is working with Castleton Square Mall to provide an additional presence there to ensure that everyone is safe.
Community Question Featured local question
I will be a fierce advocate to invest in the conditions of our roads. I promise to always be active with neighborhoods to report potholes and other issues that occur.

While it is important to acknowledge that Indianapolis is extremely disadvantaged by the state’s infrastructure funding formula, we must focus on solutions that invest in the city’s streets. We must also ensure that pedestrians and cyclists are safe in our city by building sidewalks and trails in our area, especially ones that connect together.

I would be active in seeking out and applying for state and federal grants to bring dollars here.

Lastly, I hear litter mentioned a lot. I would organize with neighborhood groups to work on cleaning up many of our main roads, particularly near Castleton.
There are countless issues I care about, but two specifically that I really care about are veterans and mental health. Nearly all of my family are veterans, and there are far too many vets who slip through the cracks and potentially become homeless. One quarter of our homeless population in Marion County are vets, and that is unacceptable. So I will work with groups that work with vets to ensure they are supported more in our city.

Mental Health is another issue I really care about as well. It is an issue that greatly impacts nearly all families and has extreme negative impacts. Unfourtnately, I get it from both sides of my family too. I lost my maternal grandmother to suicide when I was a child, and know many veterans like my dad who have dealt with it, too.

And lastly, like I said in my issues, I have heard over and over again the importance of our roads and public safety, and I think those issues are crucial towards the future of our area, specifically the safety of the Castleton area. I will work with businesses, neighborhoods and others in that area to make a difference.
The City-County Council is unique because our oversight is so large and it touches nearly all areas of public life. We oversee things like the Marion County Election Board (who runs our elections), our Indy Parks, our libraries, public safety positions and other departments. Because of this, it is extremely important to elect candidates with a strong work ethic who will collaborate with those agencies to meaningfully improve each.
I was very fortunate to have lots of supportive grandparents when I was growing up who raised my twin brother and I while our mom was in college and my dad was in Iraq. All of them taught me a lot in their own unique ways, and many of the interests I have are still things that they instilled in me from a young age. For example, I love maps, data and geography, and I really think that was because of how much time I spent on my great grandpa Carl's lap reading atlases with him and just becoming fascinated with them. Many of those grandparents were also small business owners which gave me an interest in entrepreneurship from a young age and seeing the benefit to getting involved in your community.
First and foremost, we need people with a strong work ethic and local community experience to make things happen. And most importantly, people just want a representative who is willing to pickup the phone to listen and work hard for them if they have a problem that pops up.
