Nicolas Wallace was a 2014 Libertarian candidate for District 9 of the Texas State Senate.[1] He was removed from the ballot.

Wallace's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[2]

  • Excerpt: "State Nullification. The state has the right to nullify ANY law created by the Federal Government which oversteps their reach."
  • Excerpt: "No more toll roads. There are better ways to fund new roads. We shouldn’t be locked in a 50 yr note that depends on people paying via tolls."
  • Excerpt: "Drug Decriminalization/Legalization. If we made them legal, we could regulate them to keep them away from kids and we can tax them and use the money to pay off the toll roads!"

Elections for 15 of the 31 seats in the Texas State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on March 4, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in these elections was December 9, 2013. Incumbent Kelly Hancock was unopposed in the Republican primary, while Greg Perry was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Hancock defeated Perry in the general election. Nicolas Wallace (L) was removed from the ballot before the election.[3][4][5]
