Nicole James
Nicole James was a judicial candidate for the Michigan First District Court of Appeals.[1] James was defeated.
Education
James completed her undergraduate education at Michigan State University and received her J.D. from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School (formerly known as Thomas Cooley Law School).[2]
Career
James worked as an assistant prosecuting attorney at the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office from 1999 to 2014. She then began working at her own law firm in June 2014.[2]

2016
James filed to run for one of two seats on the first district court of appeals. Incumbents Cynthia Stephens and Kurtis Wilder filed to run for re-election.[1] The three faced each other for the two seats on November 8.
