Nicole Villani
Nicole Villani was a judge on the Second Judicial Circuit Court and a resident judge in Jefferson County, Illinois. She was appointed by the Supreme Court in November 2011, effective January 1, 2012, but lost the election to a full term and stepped down from the court in December 2012.[1][2]
Education
Villani received her undergraduate degree (Political Science) from the University of Illinois in 1992 and her J.D. degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 1995.[3]

2012 election
Villani ran for election to fill the seat vacated by Terry H. Gamber. She was defeated by Jo Beth Weber on Nov. 6, 2012, receiving 37.7% of the vote. She previously was unopposed in the Republican primary on March 20, 2012, receiving 100% of the vote.[5][6][7][8]

Endorsements
Villani has been endorsed by the Illinois Civil Justice League and her predecessor, retired Judge Terry H. Gamber. On September 29, 2012, she was endorsed by the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce.[3][9]
