My life is driven by service to the community. Growing up in Washington, DC, I was raised by a single mother who taught me the values of hard work and fighting for what’s right.

I embraced these lessons. In high school, and fought against random searches of lockers. As a student at the University of Pittsburgh, I advocated for women’s reproductive rights.

After working my way through law school, I joined a Maryland law firm and got involved in political outreach and mobilization on behalf of Democratic candidates in my community.

I have been recognized as a “Top 40 under 40” leader in Prince George’s County and previously was elected to serve on Prince George’s County Democratic Central Committee.

Today, I am so proud to serve as your Delegate and to be your voice in Annapolis.
Since serving as a Delegate in Annapolis, I have introduced and passed legislation around police accountability, protections for tenants, enhanced foreclosure protections, reproductive justice, and racial equality.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Maryland

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.

Click here for an overview of legislative scorecards in all 50 states.  To contribute to the list of Maryland scorecards, email suggestions to editor@ballotpedia.org.
