What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

Less regulation More jobs Less taxes

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

1. UN ngo in Montana's 3 cities: Missoula, Helena, Bozeman 2. Wildlands Project takings in Montana 3. Corruption & collusion between Agencies and local governments

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

Newt Gingrich, Trey Gowdy

Is there a book, essay, film, or something else you would recommend to someone who wants to understand your political philosophy?

Who is John Galt?

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

What are the issues of my constituents?

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

I'm pitbullish; didn't know why until I learned 'bout my great-great Aunt, Lucretia Coffin -Mother of the Equal Rights Ammendment, follow the 2 Constitutions, follow Leadership of GOP, I see the big picture

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

Read the 2,000 bills coming for a vote. Persuasive input on committee s. Listen to constituents. Invite community leaders input.

What legacy would you like to leave?

The true sovereignty of Montana...because we aren't even close. The Montana Constitution states it, but no..

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

Kennedy's death.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

I worked at a book company for a year.

What happened on your most awkward date?

Funny now; I was on a blind date, traveling on a ferry shortly after being in a wedding. My hair was done up in 'petals' and baby roses. Standing along the rails next to my stranger/date all of a sudden I was watching my 'fall-hairpiece' floating away from the ferry!! All the people along the rail were laughing out loud...

What is your favorite thing in your home or apartment? Why?

My husband is my favorite. 49 years ...on to 50!!

Every state besides Nebraska has two legislative chambers. What do you consider the most important differences between the legislative chambers in your state?

Montana - it's the paintings by Paxon. I'm an artist, but in awe in the Chambers. The architecture lends to the magnificent work to be performed by the bodies.

Do you believe that it’s beneficial for state legislators to have previous experience in government or politics?

I believe a candidate has to know the issues, the law, the way the legislature works, how a bill moves through, know his leaders; so yes....experience gives a new candidate a huge jump start. I have already had 2 bills go through; one signed by the Governor!

What do you perceive to be your state’s greatest challenges over the next decade?

Paying for Medicaid Expansion. Forest fires due to no management. Expanding jobs through tax and incentives for companies to move to Montana. Keeping our youth in Montana. Drugs free flowing through our towns and highways destroying lives, families, crowding prisons and jails.

What do you believe is the ideal relationship between the governor and the state legislature?

The Governor has been pushing agendas like Sage Grouse Implementation Act when the Dept of Interior didn't list sage grouse as endangered; because it would DESTROY property rights across the United States...Our governor doesn't care about farmers, ranchers and landowners, basically condemning land. The Water Compact and Medicaid Expansion were also jamed through. I was there...unbelievable.

Do you believe it’s beneficial to build relationships with other legislators? Please explain your answer.

I do believe relationships build strength.

What process do you favor for redistricting?

Not gerrymandering....not the County Commissioners.

If you are not a current legislator, are there certain committees that you would want to be a part of?

Local government Judicial Education Agriculture

If you are not currently a member of your party’s leadership in the legislature, would you be interested in joining the leadership? If so, in what role?

I am interested in leadership; best use of time to make a difference, persuasion, change.

Is there a particular legislator, past or present, whom you want to model yourself after?

Trey Gowdy, Niki Haley, Rob Portman

Are you interested in running for a different political office (for example, the U.S. Congress or governor) in the future?

Perhaps. I'm 70 years old.

Both sitting legislators and candidates for office hear many personal stories from the residents of their district. Is there a story that you’ve heard that you found particularly touching, memorable, or impactful?

Campaigning, I've repeatedly heard the excitement about Trump and all he's done...promises kept!
