My name is Nikki Rattray Baldwin and I am running for (the Republican Nomination) State Senate in the 29th Senate District. I am a Conservative, Prior foster kid, U.S. Navy Veteran, Wife of a U.S. Marine, and a Mother. I earned my Bachelor’s degree (Psychology concentration), Master’s Degree in Public Administration, and worked as an Emergency Medical Technologist (EMT), Disaster Assistance / Search and Rescue, and as a Protocol Officer for the Defense Intelligence Agency.
  • Education. Protecting our future by fighting for our kids, parental rights, and safeguarding quality educational opportunities
  • Fairness. Fair Representation and Preserving the Rights and Freedoms of ALL regardless of your race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, or economic status.
  • Common Sense. Bringing COMMON SENSE back to politics and policy making by taking a stand against policies and practices that promote disinformation and corruption, exacerbate racism and discrimination, and threaten public safety.
I am dedicated to reaching across the aisle to work towards good legislation, and will always oppose bad legislation – regardless of who introduces the bill. Policy making should be about proposing and passing common sense legislation that benefits all Virginians, regardless of their political party.

I will fight to protect our children [our future], for fair representation [regardless of your race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, or economic status], and I will fight to bring COMMON SENSE back to politics and policy making by taking a STAND against policies and practices that promote disinformation and corruption, exacerbate racism and discrimination, and threaten public safety.
My Foster mom Helen Smith.  My Foster mom and Biological mom are honestly the STRONGEST women I know.  They are BOTH fighters who fought and earned everything they own, with God's grace and Mercy. Mama Helen had her first [biological] kid at 16yrs old. With the American Dream in her heart and no support, my Foster Mom bought her forever home at twenty-three (23) years old. Having a twelve (12) year difference between her last two kids [had at 33yrs old], her decision to become a foster parent not only bridged the age gap, she provided love, support, and stability to numerous children in need. She has been in that same house for the last fifty (50) years, proving to us - with hard work and determination we can do anything we put our minds to.

She wanted us to prioritize education in our lives so instead of simply telling us to stay in school, At 45 years old, she went back and got her GED. Over the years she realized the best guarantee for success in our society is furthering your knowledge of what you're passionate about so, leading by example she went to college and pushed to get an Associates degree in Criminal Justice.  It was because of her grit and sheer determination that her last two foster daughters pursued advanced degrees.  I have a Masters in Public Administration and my foster sister Malika has a PHd in Education.

My Foster Mom spent the vast majority of her life taking care of elderly people and Foster kids - to include me. => She fought tooth and nail to provide us foster kids with a normal life, she is a cancer survivor, and she is my sHero
I vaguely remember Ronald Regan getting elected - I can still see the picture of him on the wall of my Great-Grandmother's house... She LOVED that man!! The first historical event I vividly remember is the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster. We were in class watching it on TV and POOF. It was devastating.
I worked at BETA Summer youth in the Broward Detention Center. My foster mother and foster sister BJ were very instrumental in helping me get this job. It was my first job and where I found my passion for helping people.
- Meg Bohmke, Falmouth District Supervisor for Stafford County. - "I am proud to endorse Nikki Baldwin for Senate. Her commitment to serving the people of the 29th Senate District is unmatched in the field, and I have seen firsthand the passion and dedication she brings to every aspect of her work. Nikki's military and leadership experience make her the perfect candidate to represent our district. She has a proven track record of working collaboratively to achieve results, and I have no doubt that she will be an effective advocate for our community."

- Jen Wall, Gainesville District, Prince William County School Board - "As a member of the Prince William County School Board, I am acutely aware of the challenges facing our education system today. That's why I'm proud to endorse Nikki Baldwin for Senate. Nikki is deeply committed to our children's education. Her vision for a stronger, more effective education system is exactly what we need to ensure every student has access to the resources they need to succeed. Nikki has the experience and dedication to make a real difference for Virginia's students in Richmond, and I look forward to working with her to improve our schools."

- Maureen Siegmund, Garrisonville District, Stafford County School Board - "I am thrilled to endorse Nikki Baldwin for Senate. As a member of the Stafford County School Board, I know firsthand how critical education is to our community. Nikki understands the importance of preparing our students for the future by investing in their education. She believes in giving parents more choices in their children's education and all students access to high-quality schools, regardless of their zip code. Her commitment to our children's education is unwavering, and I am confident that she will be a champion for our schools and our students in Richmond."

- Rev. Dr. H.K. Matthews, Civils Rights Leader - "Having been involved in various political activities for many years, I have a keen sense of what kind of person it takes to run and be an effective elected official. I met Nikki while she was stationed at Naval Hospital Pensacola and have had the honor of watching her grow into an amazing woman and leader over the last 20 years. Nikki Rattray Baldwin is educated, trustworthy, fair, and honest. She has the patience, life experience, and compassion needed to effectively be the voice of reason and unity. Nikki is a leader who isn’t afraid to do what’s right and she has consistently done what she says she’s going to do - a trait we so desperately need in our elected officials.

We all need to get involved, take a stand, and help Nikki bring common sense back to public policy. If we don’t get involved, elect good leaders, and hold ALL of our leaders accountable, nothing will ever change! I am proud to give Nikki Rattray Baldwin, a true Servant Leader, my full endorsement."
