Biography
Nikki Baldwin grew up in foster care as a ward of the state of Florida. She attended Florida Memorial College for two years and later earned a master's degree in public administration. Baldwin served the United States Navy as a hospital corpsman. She graduated from Corps School and went on to work in the Intensive Care Unit and the Emergency Room at Naval Hospital Guam. Baldwin went on to work as an emergency medical technologist (EMT) and electroneurodiagnostic (END) technologist. She has served as a member of Escambia Search and Rescue (ESAR) and Escambia's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT); as program support with the Damage Verification Center at the Office of Disaster Assistance in Herndon, Virginia; and as a protocol officer at the Defense Intelligence Agency.[1]

It was because of her grit and sheer determination that her last two foster daughters pursued advanced degrees. I have a Masters in Public Administration and my foster sister Malika has a PHd in Education.
