The August 26, 2014, general election in Putnam County featured four seats up for election. Incumbents David Buckles and Kathy Jorgensen faced challenges in Districts 2 and 4, respectively. Both won re-election. Buckles defeated challengers Bethany Masters Brunny and Tommy Morgan, and Jorgersen defeated challenger Bud McInnis. Candidates Shirley Diaz-Basel, Allen Baggett, Tara Jenkins and Jane Thomas Crawford were running to replace C.L. Overturf Jr., who did not file for re-election in District 5. None of the four candidates received 50 percent of the vote, so Allen Baggett and Jane Thomas Crawford, the top two vote-getters, advanced to the runoff election on November 4, 2014. District 1 incumbent Nikki Cummings ran unopposed and won re-election.
