What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
It is my goal to focus on the family unit as a whole by engaging families with resources to increase parental involvement, to concentrate on a specialized youth education plan and to assist with substance abuse issues through a Youth Drug Court. This includes utilizing local business owners in youth work programs that provide job opportunities and training for youth coming through Juvenile Court.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I am passionate about policies that directly affect juvenile justice and the treatment of our children. For example, I am a strong advocate against housing juveniles charged as adults in adult prison facilities. This is one of the many reasons why I am running for Juvenile Court Judge, because I believe your children and my children are indeed our future.
Is there a book, essay, film, or something else you would recommend to someone who wants to understand your political philosophy?
