Nita L. Stormes was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. She was sworn into this position on January 3, 2000, and retired on June 28, 2019.[1]

Early life and education

Judge Stormes earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1976 and her J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 1979.[1]

Professional career

Previously, Judge Stormes worked as the Chief of the Civil Division at the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Southern District of California.[1]
