Noel Gallo is a member of the Oakland City Council in California, representing District 5. He assumed office in 2013. His current term ends on January 8, 2029.

Gallo ran for re-election to the Oakland City Council to represent District 5 in California. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.

Although city council elections in Oakland are officially nonpartisan, Gallo is known to be a member of the Democratic Party.[1]

Gallo received an undergraduate degree in business from the University of California, Berkeley. His professional experience includes work as a regional director for Ray & Associates, an Iowa-based school executive search firm.[2][3]

As of his run for re-election in 2016, Gallo was a co-chair of the Oakland City Council Education Partnership Committee and a member of the council's Life Enrichment, Public Works, and Public Safety Committees. He also represented Oakland on the AC Transit East Bay Bus Rapid Transit Project Policy Steering Committee, which is composed of representatives from the AC Transit Board of Directors, Oakland, San Leandro, and Alameda County. The committee is charged with oversight of transit projects in the Berkeley-Oakland-San Leandro corridor.[2][4]
