Noelle Gabriel
Noelle Gabriel was a member of the Norfolk Public Schools in Virginia, representing Superward 6. She assumed office on July 1, 2012. She left office on January 1, 2025.
Gabriel ran for re-election to the Norfolk Public Schools to represent Superward 6 in Virginia. She won in the general election on May 19, 2020.
Biography
Gabriel is a product of Norfolk Public Schools as a graduate of Granby High School. She went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Old Dominion University and a medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. She works as a pediatrician in the emergency department at the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters. In addition to her service on the school board, she also serves on the Old Dominion University Board of the College of Sciences.[1]

Two of the seven seats on the school board were up for general by-district election. Incumbent Noelle Gabriel defeated Carter Smith for the Superward 6 seat. Incumbent Rodney Jordan ran unopposed and won the seat in Superward 7.[2]

Funding
Gabriel reported $24,159.15 in contributions and $21,356.55 in expenditures to the Virginia Department of Elections, which left her campaign with $2,832.60 during the election.[3]
Endorsements
Gabriel received an official endorsement from the Norfolk Federation of Teachers and the Education Association of Teachers.[4][5]
