Noemi Abrego was born in San Diego, California. She earned an associate degree from Grossmont College in 2020.[1]

I was born in UCSD in 1984. Grew up in California my whole life. Earning my associates degree in sociology in 2020. The first in my family to graduate college. My children have motivated me to run for a school board position. Career in special needs education, paralegal work and constitutional rights and laws.

I want to have more transparent policy where parents can see what allocated funds went to students. I want to have a more communicative board, we need real conversations with parents and staff.
I look upto my mother she is the most hard working woman that I know and she probably will always be as active as she could at any age.
We must have an understanding of the community that we serve, most importantly we have to be the people we represent, having a moral compass isn’t sufficient anymore but being a person of faith and having a conscious of our children, and their rights is essential.
I am a diverse individual and I can effectively communicate with several age groups and needs and I have always been proud of that.
To leave earth a better place than we found it is an accomplishment. To teach children to be compassionate and empathetic towards others is a blessing.
I remember hearing about Selena being murdered and that was really sad I would always listen to her. I could relate to her as a Mexican American. She was a legend.
The first job was with my mom detailed cars , and at 14 I would help her clean cars, she was a very hardworking and she still is and I have learned work ethic from her.

I can be very shy at times but I am learning to speak out more than holding in what I need to say.
It is to engage in communications between the community and the whole school, meaning parents and staff in order to address issues.
My constituents are parents, teachers and students.
I have always been able to reach out and have positive conversations with any given community.
I can hold town halls in order to get familiar with the community.
I would say there’s already a great amount of diversity and am happy to look at what more can be done but I believe it looks good.
We need staffing we need to eliminate any of the mandates so that staff can focus on just doing their jobs.
We need up to date technology and have working equipment for this to be in approach.
We need to focus on trade schools that can have a good future too, we must focus on short term goals.
We have to have a receipt from the past but also keep it at publics reach so that we can hold public officials accountable.
We need more security for our children. Even a coalition for the parents so that they can keep an extra eye on our children but I will fully support policing.
We need active counselors and even some classified staff to help facilitate the issues our children are facing.
We must keep up with the technology but also have a balance and know how we are also human and that we have to stay on that level of understanding for this.
How do you catch a school of fish?
A book worm.
The children should have been given a choice to attend physically. I myself do not learn the same as another person , so I think we did a disservice to our children when we kept them out for more than a year.
I would respect all parents rights and their students in order to help facilitate their experience in being more included if they need that.
