Nominee named to fill Sandy City Justice Court vacancy

Sandy, Utah: Sandy City Mayor Tom Dolan announced on May 3, 2012 the nominee to fill the vacancy on the Sandy City Justice Court.[1] Judge Paul C. Farr was named to fill the vacancy created with the retirement of Judge Donald Sawaya, who retired Feb. 5, 2012.[1]
Farr was previously appointed to the Herriman City Justice Court in 2010 and to the Lehi City Justice Court in 2011.[1]
Farr holds an Associate of Science degree in history from Dixie State College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Weber State University, and a Juris Doctorate from Brigham Young University.[1] He has been a member of the Utah State Bar since 2000.[1] Prior to his appointment in 2010, Farr was a partner in a Salt Lake City law firm. He previously worked for the Utah Attorney General's Office (dead link), the U.S. Department of the Interior, and in private practice.[1]
