Nominees announced for Hildale Justice Court

Utah: The week long public comment period is underway for nominees for the Hildale Justice Court in the Utah Fifth Judicial District. The public has until April 19 to submit feedback on the three potential judges. The Mayor of Hildale, Phillip Barlow, has until May 11 to make the appointment.[1]

The appointee will succeed Judge Richard D. Carr, who served on the court for six years. The nominees are:

  • K. Jake Graff, attorney with the firm Bingham Snow & Caldwell;
  • Karlin Scott Myers, who serves as a judge for the Hurricane Justice Court; and
  • Manuel M. Palma, who worked with the Department of Labor, Mine Safety & Health Administration before retiring.[1]
