Nominees announced for U.S. District Court in Maryland

Maryland: President Barack Obama announced on Wednesday, April 21, two nominees for positions as judge on the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. The two nominees are Judge Ellen Hollander of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals and Judge James Bredar a magistrate judge on the federal court. Hollander was chosen for the seat left by Judge Andre Davis and Bredar would take the seat left vacant by Judge Frederick Motz's move to senior status. Both are subject to approval by the U.S. Senate.[1]
