Nonprofit coalition
A nonprofit coalition is a type of collaboration that brings together nonprofit organizations, individuals or private interests to achieve a common goal.
Purpose and structure
A nonprofit coalition is a formal agreement between stakeholders to work toward a specified goal.[1] Coalition members may include nonprofit organizations, community members, private businesses, civic organizations or other interested groups. A coalition may register as a separate nonprofit organization, but it may also operate under the nonprofit status of its members.[2]
Nonprofit coalitions allow for increased mission visibility and community outreach opportunities. Members are also able to pool resources and work together to achieve a common goal.[3][4]
