Nora Freeman was a judge for the Kings County Family Court in New York. She was appointed to this position in 1993 and was reappointed in 2002. Her term expired in 2012.[1]

Education

Freeman received her B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and her J.D. degree from the New York University Law School.[1]

Career

Prior to her judicial career, Freeman worked as a law assistant for the New York Office of Court Administration, a staff attorney with The Legal Aid Society, a staff attorney for the Office of the Corporation Counsel and as Assistant Deputy Counsel for the Office of Court Administration. She was then appointed to the Family Court bench in 1993.[1]
