Nora J. Shepherd is a family court judge for the Clark and Madison Counties Family Court of the 25th Judicial Circuit, which presides over Clark and Madison counties in Kentucky.[1] She was elected to the court on November 2, 2010, and assumed office on January 3, 2011.[2][3]

Shepherd was re-elected without opposition in 2014, winning an eight-year term that expires on January 1, 2023.[4][5]

Education

Shepherd received her undergraduate degree from Kentucky Wesleyan College and her J.D. from the University of Louisville School of Law.[6]

Shepherd was elected to the 25th Circuit on November 2, 2010. She defeated incumbent Ira D. Newman with 66.41% of the vote.[7][8]

Before her election to the court, Shepherd was a partner at the firm of Sword, Floyd & Moody, PLLC for 12 years in Richmond, Kentucky.[9][10]
