Norbert Rattay
Norbert Rattay was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 71 of the Rhode Island House of Representatives.
Biography
Rattay earned his bachelor's degree in geology from the University of Pittsburgh. He went on to earn his master's degree in business management from Central Michigan University.[1]
From 1974 to 1981, Rattay served in the United States Air Force. He worked as a navigator/weapons systems officer and was stationed at multiple duty stations both in the United States and overseas. From 1989 to 2010, Rattay served in the United States Air Force Reserves. As a reservist, he deployed to Iraq twice.[1]
Professionally, Rattay worked as a contracts manager for Texas Instruments and Raytheon from 1981 to 2013.[1]

2014
Elections for the Rhode Island House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on September 9, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 25, 2014. Incumbent Dennis Canario was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Norbert Rattay was unopposed in the Republican primary. Canario defeated Rattay in the general election.[3][4][5]
