A North Canton EMS Tax Levy question was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Stark County, which is in Ohio, where it was approved.
This question authorized the City of North Canton to renew a property tax levy of 1.5 mills ($1.5 per $1,000 of assessed valuation for five years in order to fund EMS and ambulance services.[1]

Language on the ballot:
| “ | A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the City of North Canton for the purpose of providing ambulance service, emergency medical service or both, at a rate not exceeding one and one-half (1.5) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to fifteen cents ($0.15) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[1][2] | ” |
