North Carolina House Bill 47 (2009)

North Carolina House Bill 47 was introduced in the North Carolina House of Representatives on February 4, 2009 by state representatives John Blust, Curtis Blackwood, William A. Current, Sr., Timothy K. Moore and Edgar V. Starnes.
HB 47 would have established ballot initiatives in North Carolina. Under HB 47, initiatives would need the signatures of 20% of those who voted in the last gubernatorial election.[1]
The House never took up HB 47 as the bill was sent to the Judiciary Committee on February 12, 2009 and not discussed for the rest of the session.[2]
