Good economy, fight inflation and keep taxes low, economic development

Protect peoples' lives and property-- low crime, safe homes and neighborhoods-- support law enforcement

Quality education-- have qualified workers ready to fill all the jobs that we have created-- workforce development. Includes school choice-- nobody should be shut out of the school that is best for their child because they can't afford it
Investing in clean energy and expanding rural broadband are two areas of public policy the campaign is laser focused on.

North Carolina is poised to be a leader in providing clean energy and low-cost hybrid and electric transportation. During these inflationary times, we have an incredible opportunity to bring so many good paying jobs to upgrade and prepare our infrastructure. While the infrastructure is getting upgraded, we can also bring manufacturing to the State which would allow residents cost-effective hybrid and electric vehicle transportation options.

Expanding rural broadband would have exponential improvements to the people of North Carolina. In the age of COVID, we have learned the importance of having connectivity in the home to ensure children and adults are learning and will continue to learn. Connecting rural homes to broadband will allow these educational opportunities. Furthermore, allowing rural connectivity will help small businesses access a greater market for their services or products. Internet connectivity is a win-win for everyone in North Carolina.

Amy Galey (R)

I am passionate about workforce development, connecting all the dots between quality education, good jobs, and healthy families. I supported the Medicaid expansion bill that was proposed in the Senate this year (2021) because it increased access and addressed rising costs. The bill included desperately needed certificate of need (CON) reform and scope of practice reform, allowed for telehealth, and increased transparency. Parents should be viewed as a valued partner in our public school system, not as an impediment or inconvenience. School choice is a critical part of an overall education system that meets the needs of individual children. Not every school is a good fit for every child, and family income should not be the primary determinant of whether a child can attend the school that is right for him/her.
The amount of growth in the State is going to be a substantial challenge. Smart growth is key to ensure that that we keep bringing great jobs to the State, while ensuring we don't grow so much that those residents already here are priced out of their homes. We have to find ways to balance keeping North Carolinian history with a changing future.
Absolutely. Legislation is not a quick nor easy process. Government and politics need people that know how to work with one-another to bring good change for the people of North Carolina
Yes, definitely within one's own Party is needed to understand how to move legislation forward and also working across the aisle to hear everyone's opinions and ideas.
A non-partisan board is key to ensure proper representation during redistricting
Absolutely, and most importantly that legislation is enacted for the betterment of North Carolinians. My focus is to use all pathways of communication to find any common ground to move forward on. The people of North Carolina deserve more opportunities and better lives.
