North Dakota Agricultural and Educational Funding Separation, Referendum 1 (1964)
The North Dakota Higher Learning Institutions Budgets Referendum, also known as Referendum 1, was on the June 30, 1964 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved.[1] The measure authorized the budgets and appropriation measures for the agricultural experiment stations and their substations and the extension division of the North Dakota State University of Agriculture and Applied Science to be separated from those of state educational institutions.[2]

Similar measures
A similar measure was defeated in 1962. That measure would have authorized the budgets and appropriation measures for the agricultural experiment stations, their substations and the cooperative agriculture extension services of the North Dakota State University of Agriculture and Applied Science to be separated from those of the state educational institutions.[3]
