The North Dakota Agricultural and Educational Funding Separation Referendum, also known as Referendum 2, was on the June 26, 1962 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure lost by fewer than 200 votes.[1][2]

The measure would have authorized the budgets and appropriation measures for the agricultural experiment stations, their substations and the cooperative agriculture extension services of the North Dakota State University of Agriculture and Applied Science to be separated from those of the State Educational Institutions.[3]

A measure was approved in 1964 that achieved the goals of this failed measure.
