North Dakota Basis of Need Payments State Equalization Fund Initiative (1940)
The North Dakota Basis of Need Payments State Equalization Fund Initiative was on the June 25, 1940 ballot in North Dakota as an initiated state statute, where it was defeated.[1] The measure would have reduced the state's per people payment to schools regardless of need and increasing the emergency funds for schools in distress.[2][3]
